Romantic date tips for guys and girls

Romantic Date?

A bit unsure of what to do, what to wear, where to go?

We have split this page in two different sections, one for the ladies and one for the guys.

For The Girls

Golden Three Rules:

Be Safe

Be Yourself

And

Have Fun!

If you do not know this guy then arrange somewhere in public and safe to meet. Even if he seems genuine and nice, do not be tempted to go back to his house on the first date. Tell a friend what you’re doing and make sure your mobile phone is charged up and in credit.

Be yourself, if you’re a girl who wears thick makeup or wears none at all, do it the way you usually do it. Be yourself and be genuine. Do not make things up or go out to impress him. Also be honest with the guy, if you do not like something or do, tell him.

Have fun your on a date  even if the guy is a bit of a let down, have fun, enjoy yourself.

On your date be a bit mysterious; do not tell him everything at first. Keep a little bit yourself and make it a bit of fun.

Ask open ended questions, find out about him.

Choose a location where it’s not too loud but also interesting if conversation does drop.

Think about what you are wearing for your romantic date, ask your friends for advice. Don’t dress too sleazy but neither too formal. Think about the setting and make sure it’s suitable. Are going to a restaurant or just a local café?  Choose clothing which suits you and you feel comfy in

If you do not like the guy, tell him nicely... or if you cannot bear it just say thanks for a nice evening.

Pre-date nerves? Do not worry, just be relaxed, be yourself and enjoy yourself.

For The Guys

Make sure the first date is somewhere reasonable and in public.

A fast food joint is not suitable, book a restaurant or go bowling.

Be smart but casual, smell nice and make sure your clothes are ironed.

A woman wants to be treated with respect and to have fun. You are both judging each other, so do not try to be something your not. Ignore the bravado, be yourself, be genuine. If you are looking for a relationship, or just a bit of fun, let her know. Otherwise one of you may fall in love and the other one doesn’t feel the same way.

Be sincere, genuine and honest. Everyone has faults but do not let this affect your confidence.

Do not be too enthusiastic and do not be unresponsive on your romantic date. Listen to what she says and think about when to speak.

If the moment feels right then maybe give a small hug or put your hand on her wrist, then possibly kiss.

A date is about getting to know each other more. However you can make it more romantic by doing simple touches to make it special. For example get the waiter at the restaurant to bring over a red rose to the lady, arrange for a bottle of wine. If the date is in winter maybe do something fun such as ice skating, if in summer maybe have a picnic outside.

A simple hug or a smile can mean so much.

Do not be nervous, just be yourself.
